Jane Hardy, M.Ed., serves as President and Career Strategist of Career Resources, Inc. which she founded in 1981.
A pioneer of the career management profession in Nashville, Ms. Hardy
built Career Resources from a small consulting business to a
multi-faceted firm that offers both corporate and individual career
development solutions. She has directly helped more than 10,000
individuals in Middle Tennessee determine and acheive their career
goals.
Ms. Hardy's career began in Boston, where she led career planning
seminars for the Career Center at Northeastern University. She earned
a Master's Degree in Career Education from Boston University and was
trained by Richard N. Bolles, author of What Color is Your
Parachute?, the most widely respected handbook in the field of
career/life planning. Ms. Hardy also holds a Bachelor of Arts in
Journalism with a major in Public Relations from the University of
Georgia.
Ms. Hardy is a founding board member of the Association of Career
Professionals International, Tennessee Chapter, and is certified as a
Career Management Practitioner by the International Board for Career
Management. She is an active member of business and professional
women's organizations: Nashville Women's Breakfast Club,
and CABLE, where she received that organization's first Spirit
of Leadership Award.
A strong supporter of charitable and community activities throughout
her career, Ms. Hardy has served in leadership positions with numerous
organizations including the YWCA, Entrepreneurship Forum, Friends of
Elmington Park, West Nashville Presidents Council, and Christ Church
Cathedral, Episcopal.
Ms. Hardy is married to Rod Kochtitzky, M.Div., a psychotherapist in private practice, specializing in
couples counseling. They and their two sons live in Nashville.
